Mary Ann was born in 1868 in Page Co., Virginia.1 Mary Ann's father is Thomas W. Meadows and her mother is Frances Ann Caroline Samuels. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas W. Meadows and Elizabeth Breeding. She had a brother and five sisters, named George Thomas, Clarinda V., Sarah Celia, Ellen Frances L., Amanda Catherine and Ellen Frances. She is the third youngest of the seven children.-
