Dicy was born about 1841 in Logan Co., Virginia.1 Dicy's father was Joseph H. Lester and her mother was Dicey Bailey. Her maternal grandparents were Archibald Bailey and Agnes Nancy Godfrey. She had ten brothers and four sisters, named Pleasant, Masten Bailey, Lewis B., Isaac B., Parris F., Archibald B., Joseph, David B., Matthew J., Amos, Rebecca, Nancy, Elizabeth and Taza. She was the fifth youngest of the fifteen children. She died on December 17th, 1927. She was buried in Collins Cemetery, Iaeger, McDowell County, West Virginia.1 1 -
