Laura Giertz

Laura was born in September 1880 in Illinois.  Laura's father was JOSEPH Giertz and her mother was Emma Studiman.  Her paternal grandparents are JOSEPH GIERTZ and MARY KIPPERT. She had four brothers and five sisters, named John H., Charles M., Frank John, WILLIAM H., Emma O., Eliza, Elizabeth L., Minnie Mary and Sophia.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.  She died  due to appedicitis at the age of 23 in 1903.  She was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman, Kingman, Kansas.^1 1
