Emma O. Giertz

Emma O. was born on October 8th, 1863 in , Mason, Illinois.¹   Emma O.'s father was JOSEPH Giertz and her mother was Emma Studiman.  Her paternal grandparents are JOSEPH GIERTZ and MARY KIPPERT. She had four brothers and five sisters, named John H., Charles M., Frank John, WILLIAM H., Eliza, Elizabeth L., Minnie Mary, Laura and Sophia.  She was the oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 84 on August 24th, 1948 in Kingman, Kingman, Kansas.  She was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman, Kingman, Kansas.^1 1 

‌Emma O. and Charles L. were married in a religious ceremony on November 11th, 1887 in Liberal, Seward, Kansas.¹   They had a son and four daughters, named Samuel Joseph, Genevieve, Gertrude, Grace and Mary.
