Sarah Ann was born on October 23rd, 1844 in Logan Co., Virginia.1 Sarah Ann's father was William Anderson Dingess and her mother was Gertrude Smith. Her paternal grandfather was Peter Dingess and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Farley; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Ezekiel Smith and Susannah Dingess. She had nine brothers and two sisters, named Peter Harvey, James Britt, Charles A., William F., Sylvanus, John, David Crockett, Guy, W. A., Susan J. and Harriett. She died at the age of 87 on October 16th, 1932.2 -
