David Crockett Dingess 
David Crockett was born on September 7th, 1853 in Logan Co., Virginia.1 David Crockett's father was William Anderson Dingess and his mother was Gertrude Smith. His paternal grandfather was Peter Dingess and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Farley; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Ezekiel Smith and Susannah Dingess. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Peter Harvey, James Britt, Charles A., William F., Sylvanus, John, Guy, W. A., Susan J., Sarah Ann and Harriett. He died at the age of 72 on October 14th, 1925.2 -
