Elizabeth was born about 1846 in Logan Co., Virginia.1 Elizabeth's father was George Davis and her mother is Juliet Dillion. Her maternal grandparents were Christopher Dillion and Rhoda Bailey. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Chistopher, William, James Joseph, Samuel, Melvin, Rhoda, Rebecca, Sally, Martha and Lydia. She is the fourth oldest of the eleven children.-
