George Bell

George was born on March 1st, 1755 in Sussex County, Virginia.¹ George's father was James Bell and his mother was Mildred Robinson. His paternal grandparents were JOHN Bell and HANNAH STOKES. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Balaam, Benjamin, Anne, Hannah, Mary Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mildred Lucas, Betty Sawbridge and Sallie Wilkes. He was the oldest of the ten children.¹
