Jan Janse Verkerk 
Jan Janse was born about 1664 in Kings Co., New York, USA and his baptism took place on November 12th, 1682 in New Utrecht, Kings, Ny.1 Jan Janse's father was Jan Jansz Verkerck and his mother was Marijke Gijsberts. His paternal grandfather is Jan Aertsz Verkerck and his paternal grandmother was Bertie Hermen. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Roelof Janse, Cornelis Jansz, Barend Janse, Aert Jansz, Arien Jansz, Geertje and Barendje. He died in Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey.2 General Notes

Raymond Bell reports that John VanKirk took the oath of allegiance in 1687. He moved to Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey before 1703. He died before January 28, 1724 when the inventory of the estate of "John VanKirk of Freehold" was taken.
A report in the LDS Ancestral file states that John VanKirk had a will dated 10 Feb 1722.
