Martin Martinse Van Buren

Martin Martinse was born on December 20th, 1812 in Hudson, New York and his baptism took place on September 7th, 1813 in Claverack, Columbia County, New York, Reformed Dutch Church.¹ Martin Martinse's father was Martin Abrahamse Van Buren and his mother was Hannah Hoes. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Martense Van Buren and Maria Hoes. He had four brothers named Abraham Martinse, John Martinse, Lawrence Martinse and Smith Thompson. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 42 on March 19th, 1855 in Paris, France.¹
