Maria was born on January 16th, 1747 in Claverack, Columbia, NY and her baptism took place on January 16th, 1747.1 Maria's father is Johannes Dircksen Hoes and her mother is Jannatje Van Schaack. Her paternal grandparents are Dirck Janse Hoes and Elizabeth Luycassen Wyngaart; her maternal grandfather was Lourense Claasz Van Schaack and her maternal grandmother is Jannetje Oothout. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Dirck (Dirk), Laurence, Lucas, John (Johannes Jr), Jannetje, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 70 on February 16th, 1817 in Kinderhook, Columbia, NY.1 -
