Jannetje Abrahamse Van Buren

Jannetje Abrahamse was born in 1780 in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York and her baptism took place on January 16th, 1780.¹ Jannetje Abrahamse's father was Abraham Martense Van Buren and her mother was Maria Hoes. Her paternal grandparents are Marten Pieterse Van Buren and Dirckje Van Alstyne; her maternal grandparents are Johannes Dircksen Hoes and Jannatje Van Schaack. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Martin Abrahamse, Lawrence Abrahamse, Abraham Abrahamse, Dirckje Abrahamse and Hannah or Jannetje. She is the third oldest of the six children.
