John VAN WAGONER 
John was born on September 13th, 1849 in Potts, Pottawattamie, Iowa. John's father was John Halmagh VAN WAGENER and his mother was Clarissa TAPPEN. His paternal grandparents were Halmagh Johannes VAN WAGONER and Mary (Polly) VAN HOUTEN. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Ephraim, William, Henry, Orson, George, Hester, Ann, Cynthia and Clarissa. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named David, John Alfred, Parley Pratt, Frank Douglas, Mary, Elizabeth Ann, Mary Eva, Estella Jane, Lilly Maud and Maude Lily. He died at the age of 79 on December 20th, 1928 in Heber, Wasatch, Utah. He was buried on December 23rd, 1928 in Midway, Wasatch, Utah.General Notes
