Sarah Upshaw

Sarah was born about 1769 in , Essex, Virginia. Sarah's father was John Horace Upshaw and her mother was Mary Lafon. Her paternal grandparents were William Upshaw and Hannah Forrest; her maternal grandparents are Nicholas Lafon and Elizabeth Sthreshly. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Edwin, John Horace, William, Lucy, Maria, Hannah and Cordelia. She is the fourth oldest of the eight children.
