Hannah Upshaw

Hannah was born in 1774 in , Essex, Virginia. Hannah's father was John Horace Upshaw and her mother was Mary Lafon. Her paternal grandparents were William Upshaw and Hannah Forrest; her maternal grandparents are Nicholas Lafon and Elizabeth Sthreshly. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Edwin, John Horace, William, Sarah, Lucy, Maria and Cordelia. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 79 in 1853.
