Benjamin was born about 1661 in Warwick,Kent County,Rhode Island. Benjamin's father was John Sweet and his mother was Elizabeth Scott Jefferys. His paternal grandparents were John Sweet and Mary UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Robert Jeffreys and his maternal grandmother is Mary UNKNOWN. He had eight brothers and a sister, named John, Daniel, James, Richard, Henry, William, Jeremiah, Rufus and Miss. He is the fifth oldest of the ten children.General Notes
