James L. Stover

James L. was born about 1841 in Pendleton, Virginia/West Virginia.  James L.'s father was John  J. Stover and his mother was Catherine Mary Hartman.  His maternal grandparents are John Hartman and Mary Hunter. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Pleasant, Jacob B., John Wesley, Silvanus(Saul) Harper, George Washington, William P., David H., Benjamin Franklin, Mary M, Susan and Harriet Permelia.  He is the sixth youngest of the twelve children.
