Jezreel was born on October 29th, 1796 in , Bourbon Co., Ky. Jezreel's father was Lakey SHOEMAKER and his mother was Sally ELLIS. His paternal grandparents are Jesse SHOEMAKER and Nancy UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents are Jezreel ELLIS and Sitha HARVEY. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Silas King, Benjamin, Daniel, Jeremiah, Heber, Alexander Morain, John, Jessenett, Elizabeth, Nancy and Mariann. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 82 on May 30th, 1879 in Manti, Sanpete, Ut. He was buried in Manti, Sanpete, Utah.General Notes
