William ROPER

William was born in 1776 and his baptism took place on January 19th, 1776 in Sheffield Cathedral, Yorks, Eng. William's father was Joshua ROPER and his mother is Dorothy FROST. His paternal grandparents are Joshua ROPER and Sarah BOOTH; his maternal grandparents are William FROST and Ellin SWIFT. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Joshua, Philip, Frederic, John, Abel, William, Robert, John, Hannah and Sarah. He is the oldest of the eleven children.
