Thomas was born in Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.1   Thomas' father was Edward III Plantagenet and his mother was Philippa Avesnes.  His paternal grandparents were Edward II Plantagenet and Isabelle of France; his maternal grandparents were Willem III De AVESNES and Jeanne De VALOIS. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Edward The Black, Lionel, John of Gaunt, John Beaufort, Edmund, Edmund, William Prince Of, William Prince Of, Isabel Princess of, Mary Princess Of, Margaret Princess Of, Joan Princess Of and Blanche Princess Of.  He died in , Calais, Pas-De-Calais, France.  He was buried in St. Edmund's, Westminster, Middlesex, England.
