James W. Payne 
James W. was born on June 10th, 1830. James W.'s father was Tarleton Fleming Payne and his mother was Susanna Gilliam. His paternal grandparents were Tarleton Payne and Elizabeth Winston; his maternal grandparents were John Gilliam and Constance Parrish. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Jacob Gilliam, William O., Thomas, John, Henry Winston, Charles, Elizabeth T. and Mary Catherine. He died at the age of 81 on March 12th, 1912.General Notes
