Josiah Morton Nance

Josiah was born on December 11th, 1837 in , , Tennessee.  Josiah's father was Josiah Crenshaw NANCE and his mother was Bethenia Harden Sneed.  His paternal grandfather was William Howe Nance and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Veneable Morton; his maternal grandparents are James Sneed and Bethenia Harden Perkins. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named James, William, Costantine, Nicholas Charles, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Bethenia, Martha Harriett, Susannah, Sallie and Virginia Tennessee.  He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 26 on June 10th, 1864.
