Thomas was born in 1795 in ,, Tn. Thomas' father was Richard S. KEELE and his mother was Lydia Richmond. His paternal grandparents were Arthur KEELE and Sarah MONNOTE; his maternal grandparents are John RICHMOND and Mrs. John RICHMOND. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, William M., Jacob, Richard Richmond, David, Mary and Sarah. He was the youngest of the eight children.
