Jane was born in 1759 in , Orange, North Carolina. Jane's father was John HOWELL. Her paternal grandfather was John Howell and her paternal grandmother is Mary Tatum. She had seven brothers named Edward, Benjamin Henry, Henry, Malachai, Phillip, William and John. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. Jane Howell was born 1759 died Grainger Co. Tn. July 27, yr(?). She married Henry Ivey. Henry Ivey Served as a private in North Carolinia line during the Amer. Rev. After the ref. He moved to Grainger Co. Tn., then to Jefferson Co. Tn. died on Mar. 11, 1834. His wife applied for a widow's pension on June 5, 1840 in Grainger co. Tn. at age 81.
