James HOOVER 
James was born on July 29th, 1814 in , Rutherford, TN.1 James' father was Christopher HOOVER and his mother was Elizabeth LOTSPEICH. His paternal grandparents were Matthias HOOVER and Mary "Maria" Gefeller; his maternal grandparents were John Christopher LOTSPEICH and Rebecca Barbara HARTLEY. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Matthias, Jacob, Martin L., John Lotspeich, William, Benjamin Sewell, Child, Sarah "Sally", Catherine, Nancy, Barbara, Susanna and Matilda. He was the fifth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 79 on March 4th, 1894 in , Bedford, TN. He was buried in Hoover Cemetary, Rutherford, TN.2 3 General Notes
