John Cooper was born about 1792 in , Currituck, North Carolina. John Cooper's father was William Glasgow and his mother was SARAH COOPER. His paternal grandparents were Caleb Glasgow and Ruth Gascoe GREGORY; his maternal grandparents were John COOPER and Martha Isles. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Caleb, Isaac Wesley, Samuel, Ruth, Love and SOPHIA. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died in 1835.-
