JOHN ALLEN was born about 1825 in Of, , Grainger, Tennessee. JOHN ALLEN's father was John Cooper Glasgow and his mother was ELIZABETH REECE. His paternal grandparents were William Glasgow and SARAH COOPER; his maternal grandfather is UNKNOWN REECE. He had two brothers and a sister, named James Marion, JOSEPH REECE and MARY CATHERINE. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died on February 25th, 1908.-
