Walter H. was born in April 1875 in Cannon County,TN. Walter H.'s father was George Washington Gannon and his mother was Catherine Herriman. His paternal grandparents were George Gannon and Susanna Stacy; his maternal grandparents are John Herriman and Susan Williams. He had four brothers and a sister, named Alonzo L., John Grant, Edward C., Timothy Houston and Nicey A.. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-sisters named Octavia, Mary Ellen and Susan Jane. He died at the age of 57 in 1932 in Cannon County,TN. He was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery #1,Cannon County,TN.General Notes
