William Atkins GHEEN 
William Atkins was born on September 2nd, 1798 in Dewingtown, East Caln Township, Chester, Pa. William Atkins' father was Thomas GHEEN and his mother was Alice Ann ATKINS. His paternal grandparents were Joseph GHEEN and Elizabeth INGRAM; his maternal grandparents are William ATKINS and Martha BUFFINGTON. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Atkins, Levi Atkins, Elizabeth Atkins, Martha, Sarah, Mary Ann and Susannah. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
