John GAITHER 
John was born about 1770 in Of, Leftout, Ann Arundel, Md. John's father was Benjamin GAITHER and his mother was Rachel JACOBS. His paternal grandfather was John GAITHER and his paternal grandmother is Anne RULEY; his maternal grandparents were Jeremiah JACOB and Rachel GAITHER. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Edward, Basil, Zachariah, Jeremiah, Rezin, Edward, Rachel and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died on April 8th, 1833 in Putnam, Tn.General Notes
