Mary Elizabeth was born on January 17th, 1851 in Coalville, Summit, Ut. Mary Elizabeth's father was Absalom Porter DOWDLE and her mother was Sarah Ann HOLLADAY. Her paternal grandparents were Robert DOWDELL and Sarah Ann ROBINSON; her maternal grandparents were John Daniel Sr. HOLLADAY and Catherine Beasley HIGGINS. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Absalom Porter, William Porter, Robert Thomas, John Henry, Sarah Catherine, Martha Jane and Louisa Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 45 on December 13th, 1896 in Peoa, Summit, Ut. She was buried in December 1896 in Peoa, Summit, Ut.General Notes
