Susannah was born in PGC,MD. Susannah's father was Phillip Sessell Cissell and her mother was Elizabeth Sprigg Gittings. Her paternal grandparents were William Cecil and Mary Unknown. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, William B., Joshua, Philip Gittings, Mary and Elizabeth. She had a half-sister named Elizabeth. She died before 1735 in not in father's will.General Notes
