Frances was born in 1815.  Frances' father was Thomas Casdorph and her mother is Margaret McCown.  Her paternal grandfather was Jacob Casdorph. She has three brothers and three sisters, named Hiram, James H., John M., Eliza A., Mary Jane and Martha Margaret.  She is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
