Walter CROCKETT 
Walter was born in 1732 in , Wythe Co., Va. Walter's father was Joseph Louis Crockett and his mother was Jeanne DEVIGNE. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Louis Crockett and Sarah (Stuart) Stewart; his maternal grandparents are Jean DEVIGNE and Jean UNKNOWN. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Hugh, Robert, Joseph, Samuel, Joseph, Anthony, Mary, Martha, Nancy Agnes, Elizabeth and Martha Or Mattie. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 79 in 1811 in Wytheville, Wythe Co., Va. He was buried in Poplar Camp, Montgomery Co., Va.General Notes
