George COTTON 
George was born about 1560 in Combermere, Cheshire, Eng.. George's father was Richard COTTON, ESQUIRE and his mother was Mary MAINWARING. His paternal grandparents were George COTTON and Mary ONLEY; his maternal grandparents were Arthur MAINWARING and Margaret MAINWARING. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, Andrew, Mary, Elizabeth, Winifred, Dorothy and Frances. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died in 1647.General Notes
