John COLQUHOUN 
John was born in 1596 in Of Luss, Dumbarton, Strathclyde, Scotland. John's father was Alexander (Alasdair) COLQUHOUN [LORD] and his mother was Margaret Helen BUCHANAN. His paternal grandparents were Sir John COLQUHOUN XIII and Agnes BOYD; his maternal grandparents are George BUCHANAN and Margaret (Mary) GRAHAM. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Humphry M.P., Alexander XVII (Sir), Adam, Walter, George, Patrick, George, Jean, Nancy, Katherine, Helen, Mary and Katharine. He was the oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 59 in 1655 in In Exile, , Italy.General Notes
