Joane De was born about 1240 in Of, Calne, Wiltshire, England.  Joane De's father was William De CANTILUPE and her mother was Eva de Braose.  Her paternal grandfather was William CANTILUPE and her paternal grandmother is Milicent GOURNAI; her maternal grandparents were William De BRAOSE and Eve MARSHALL. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John De, George, Thomas De, Juliane De and Milicent.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died before June 1271.  She was buried in Grey Frier's, Coventry, Wiltshire, England.

‌Joane De and Henry were married in a religious ceremony about 1255.  They had two sons and three daughters, named John, Edmund, Audra, Lora and Jean.
