Clemence was born about 1110 in Of, Dampmartin, Ile De France, France.1   Clemence's father was Renaud I, Count De BAR and her mother was Gisele De VAUDEMONT.  Her paternal grandparents were Thierry II (Dietrich I) Count De BAR & MONTBELIARD and Ermentrude De BURGUNDY; her maternal grandparents were Gerhard I Count Of VAUDEMONT and Helwide (Edith) Countess Of EGISHEIM. She had a sister named Miss De.  She was the older of the two children.  She died after January 20th, 1183.1
