Thomas Betts 
Thomas was born on August 3rd, 1745 in Buckingham, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and his baptism took place in Friend's Meeting House, Wrightstown, Bucks, PA.1 Thomas' father was Thomas Betts and his mother was Sarah Phebe Smith. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Betts and Susannah Willett Stevenson; his maternal grandparents were William Smith and Rebecca Wilson. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, John, Stephen, Isaac, Zachariah, Sarah, Ann, Rebecca, Susannah and Mary. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 32 in 1777 in Buckingham, Bucks, PA.1 General Notes

Thomas Betts fell sick in 1777 and made his will on March 18, 1777. He
left
h is wife Elizabeth 50 pounds, his riding mare, a cow, the right to cut
wood
fr om the plantation in her widowhood, and other items. He also left the
rest
of his estate to the child with whom his wife was pregnant. Although the
wil l
was not proven until Jun 19, 1783 (the same date as his father's), he
prob abl y
died soon afterward. His father's will included his grandson Thomas, son
of
deceased son Thomas.
