William Smith 
William was born on November 2nd, 1697 in in Windybush Farm, Pennsylvania.1 William's father was William Smith and his mother was Mary Croasdale. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Croasdale and Agnes Hawthornthwaite. He had six sisters named Margaret, Elizabeth, Hannah, Lydia, Mary and Sarah. He died at the age of 83 in 1780 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 1 General Notes

William Smith Jr. inherited and purchased from his brothers his father's
land s
in Wrightstown. He also purchased a large tract of land in Upper
Makefield Twp
and was a man of enterprise and industry, and became wealthy. William
s e rved
as a Member of the Pennsylvania Assembly and held important trusts both
in the
church and state. He further served as coroner of Bucks County from 1 7 49
to
1751.
