Walter De was born about 1285 in , Ulster Province, Ireland. Walter De's father was Richard De Burgh and his mother was Margaret De Burgh. His paternal grandparents were Walter BURGH and Aveline FITZJOHN; his maternal grandparents were John De BURGH and Cecilia De BALIOL. He had five brothers and eleven sisters, named Edmund, John, John de, Thomas De, EDMUND DE, Aveline, Margery, Matilda, Aveline, Joan, Eleanor, Eleanor, Elizabeth De, Maud (Matilda) De, Katherine De and Joan De. He was the seventh youngest of the seventeen children. He died in 1304.General Notes
