Sarah Ann was born on October 9th, 1854 in Clover Creek, Huston Twp., Blair Co., PA. Sarah Ann's father was John Bowers BRUMBAUGH and her mother was Esther Hoover. Her maternal grandparents were John Hoover and Elizabeth Brumbaugh. She had five brothers and five sisters, named David Hoover, Eli H., William Hoover, John Hoover, Levi Hoover, Susannah, Rachel, Barbara H., Elizabeth H. and Mary Jane. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry Dilling and Harriet. She died at the age of 44 on October 9th, 1898 in Martinsburg, Blair Co., PA.-
