Charles was born in 1254 in Napoli, Italy.1 Charles' father was Charles D'anjou Capet and his mother was Beatrix Berenger. His paternal grandparents were Louis Capet and Blanche UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Raymond Berenger and Beatrice UNKNOWN. He had a brother and two sisters, named Philip, Beatrix and Isabella. He died at the age of 55 on May 5th, 1309 in Caranova, Italy.1 General Notes
