Thomas Stapleton

Thomas was born about 1281 in Stapleton, Richmondshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was Miles Stapleton* and his mother was Sibill De Bella-Aqua. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Stapleton and Margery (Isabel) Basset; his maternal grandparents were John de Bella-Aqua and Laderina le Brus. He had six brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, Richard, Roger, Miles, John, Gilbert and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
