Mattie Spieker

Mattie was born on October 31st, 1888 in Ackley, IA.¹   Mattie's father was Jurgen Dick Spieker and her mother was Anna Fluth.  Her maternal grandparents were Freede Fluth and Hiske. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Dirk, Jerry, Hiske, Tilly, Jacobina, Rheina, Freede and Clara.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 68 on August 9th, 1957.¹ 

‌Mattie and Tom were married in a religious ceremony on March 11th, 1915 in Ackley, IA.¹   They had a son and a daughter, named Jerry Edwin and Alma Beatrice.
