Nesta Verch was born about 1073 in Of Dynevor, Llandyfeisant, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1 Nesta Verch's father was Rhys Ap Tewder and her mother was Gwladus Verch Rhiwallon. Her paternal grandparents were Tewdwr Mawr ap Cadell and Gwenllian; her maternal grandfather was Rhiwallon Ap Cynfyn. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hywel, Gruffud and Elimor Verch. She had a half-brother named Geraldus FitzWalter De. She died about 1163.1 General Notes
