Thomas was born on April 17th, 1614 in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, England.1 Thomas' father was George Lawton and his mother was Isbell Smith. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lawton and Mary; his maternal grandparents were Francis Smith and Ann. He had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named George, Issac, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Bennett. He died at the age of 67 in 1681.1 General Notes
