Serota Lancaster

Serota was born about 1190 in , Barton, Westmorland, England.¹ Serota's father was Gilbert Fitzreinfride and her mother was Hawise Lancaster. Her paternal grandparents were Roger Fitzreinfride and Rohaise Meschines; her maternal grandparents were William de Lancaster and Helawise de Stuteville. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Roger, Helewisa and Alice. She was the second youngest of the five children.
