Joan de was born about 1290 in ,Up Holland, Lancashire, England.1   Joan de's father was Robert I de Holand and her mother was Elizabeth de Salmesbury.  Her paternal grandparents were Thurstan De Holland and Maud de Kellet; her maternal grandparents were William de Salmesbury and Avina de Notton. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert II de, Thurstan, Avena de, Johanna and Margaret de.  She was the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Jane de.  She died after 1347.1 


Joan de's first family with Hugh II de Dutton

‌Joan de and Hugh II de were married in a religious ceremony about 1304 in ,,Lancashire, England.1   They had five sons and a daughter, named Thomas I, William, Geoffrey, Robert, Hancock and Katherine.


Joan de's second family with Edmund Talbot

‌Joan de and Edmund were married in a religious ceremony about 1306 in <Bashall Eaves, Mitton, West Riding, Yorkshire, England>.1   They had a son named Thomas Miles.
