William Griffith 
William was born about 1476 in of Penrhyn Castle, Caernarvonshire, Wales.1 William's father was Sir William of Penrhyn Griffith and his mother was Joan Troutbeck. His paternal grandparents were Gwilym Fychan Of Penrhyn Ap Gruffydd and Alice Dalton; his maternal grandparents were William Troutbeck and Margaret Stanley. He had a brother and a sister, named Sir William II of Penrhyn and Alice. He died in 1531.1 General Notes
